PHILOSOPHY

I am guided by my connection to the divine spirit through body practices, prayer, sweat and plant ceremony. My approach is to balance the body holistically so one can flourish through physical and spiritual alignment. I provide tools for connecting to one’s inner wisdom, radical self care, body sovereignty, and pleasure-centered care. I believe healing ourselves is a radical act for our communities and genetic lineages. I am an excellent experienced clinician, utilizing medical intervention when necessary, while respecting healing as a normal physiologic life event. I promote people to operate from their power, demystify healthcare and reconnect to their ancient wisdom.

She has attended over 100 births between home birth and birth center practice. She is fluent in Spanish and holds current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation. She practices midwifery with care, competency and professionalism and takes pride in ushering in new life safely and with compassion.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that people should birth, first and foremost, where they feel safe and cared for. I regard birth as a sacred and monumental event that typically requires little to no intervention. I provide families with evidence-based, culturally competent information so that they can make informed decisions for their health and wellbeing from a place of knowledge rather than fear or mis-education. I believe in and practice the midwifery model of care which centers the physical and emotional needs of the birthing person and allows for the normal physiological process of birth to unfold.
